Liverpool City Region Community Environment Fund 2026

Overview

Use this online form to apply to the Community Environment Fund.

Please read the information below before starting your application. It explains how the form works and the information and documents you should have ready. 

Before you start 

You do not need to complete your application in one sitting. You can save your progress and return to your application before submitting it. 

Before starting, we recommend having information ready about: 

• your organisation 

• the project you are applying for funding for 

• the people and places your project will support 

• your planned activities and outcomes 

• how you will measure the success of your project 

• your project costs and funding 

• any relevant permissions, approvals or supporting information 

The application form will explain where supporting information or documents are required. 

Completing the application form 

It is advisable to complete the form on a laptop or tablet device.

The form is divided into sections covering your organisation, your proposed project, project delivery and project finances. The Financial Breakdown Template uses Microsoft Excel.

Please make sure the information you enter is complete and accurate. 

Applicants will complete the required information within the online application form. A financial breakdown must also be submitted separately by email after completing the online form to the CEF email address. Applicants will not be required to upload documents through the online platform. 

You can save your application and return to it later.  

Before you submit 

Before submitting your application, please check that: 

• all required questions have been answered 

• the information you have provided is complete and accurate 

• figures are consistent throughout your application 

• all required information has been provided 

When you are satisfied that your application is complete, you can submit it through the online form, and email your Financial Breakdown to us at cef@liverpoolcityregion-ca.gov.uk 

Once submitted, your application will be considered as part of the Community Environment Fund assessment process. 

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in January 2027.

Successful applicants will then be asked to provide the documentation required to complete the Combined Authority's due diligence and onboarding process. Grant Funding Agreements are expected to be issued in February 2027.

Due to the expected number of applications, we may not be able to provide detailed individual feedback on every application. Where possible, we will aim to provide feedback to help applicants understand the outcome of their application. Individual assessment scores will not routinely be provided.
